What is the Florida Infant Mental Health Endorsement (FIMH-E®)?
The Florida Association for Infant Mental Health (FAIMH) is proud to announce that Hillsborough County is the pilot for the new Florida Infant Mental Health Endorsement (FIMH-E®). The FIMH-E® recognizes achievement of knowledge, training, and experience in the area of infant and early childhood mental health. It is multidisciplinary and not limited to one profession and does not constitute a license to practice a particular profession. Endorsement® uses a nationally recognized set of competencies that helps define best practice and guides professional growth.
FAIMH has adopted the Michigan Infant Mental Health Endorsement® system which is supported nationally by the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health. The Endorsement® is one of the first and most comprehensive efforts in the country to identify best practice competencies at multiple levels and across disciplines.

Join or Renew
FAIMH membership
Build your professional application in EASy, including work, in-service training and supervisory experiences. This reflects your capabilities within the infant and family field.
Provide three names and email addresses of individuals who will complete reference rating forms on your behalf.
Once your application is complete, you may submit it for review.
Applications will be reviewed regularly; the exam schedule will be posted to our Events page. Only Categories III and IV are required to take a written exam.

The Florida Association of Infant Mental Health is part of the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health.
